Nutrition
As I begin seeing patients outside Optum, I will not have nutrition support. It is unclear whether or not patients seeing me will be able to continue seeing their nutritionist at Optum.
Nutrition visits will not be required but I know many people find their visits with their nutritionist helpful. I hope to be able to provide referral to nutrition services within a few months for people who want to continue nutrition counseling.
Body Composition
I own an InBody machine similar to what is used at Optum's Lifestyle & Metabolic Medicine. You are welcome to schedule a time for body composition testing at my house in north Ballard (about 10 minutes from I-5).
Patients using GLP medications will need to continue routine body composition (InBody) testing during active weight loss and prior to dosage changes. If coming to my house is not an option for you, we can discuss alternate arrangements. You will not be able to continue InBody testing with Optum unless you are continuing to see your Optum nutritionist.
